Playerstate

During my time at Activate Studio, I had the opportunity to work on the Playerstate project. Playerstate is a platform that enables video game players to create a variety of in-game content and earn rewards for their creativity, offering a unique and innovative way for players to engage more deeply with the games they love.

Process

The Playerstate team came to Activate with initial research already completed, allowing us to move quickly into mapping user needs and defining the MVP. Above is the user flow for Playerstate’s MVP platform.

One of my key responsibilities was designing more complex components across various sections of the platform. These components were built using the existing design system—defined by the lead designer—which included typography, colour palettes, and core UI elements such as buttons.

Above are examples of the components I created for the sidebar content, hero sections, and feed cards on the logged-in landing page.

Marketing website

I worked on the design of Playerstate’s marketing website, focusing on two key pages: the Creators page and the Studios page. Collaborating closely with the founders, we defined the core information and messaging required for each audience. From there, I began conceptualising and structuring the page layouts to clearly communicate value and guide users effectively.
