Playerstate: UI for a Reward-Based Gaming Content Platform

During my time at Activate Studio, I worked on Playerstate, a platform that enables video game players to create in-game content and earn rewards for their creativity. The platform aimed to give players new ways to engage with the games they love while rewarding their contributions.

The Playerstate team came to Activate with initial user research already completed, allowing us to move quickly into mapping user needs and defining the MVP.

Process

One of my key responsibilities was designing more complex UI components across different areas of the platform. Working within the existing design system established by the Lead Designer, I focused on extending the system through new components while maintaining consistency across the experience.

The examples above show components I designed for the sidebar navigation, hero sections, and feed cards on the logged-in landing page.

I worked on the design of Playerstate’s marketing website, focusing on two key pages: the Creators page and the Studios page.

Marketing website

Collaborating closely with the founders, we defined the core information and messaging required for each audience. From there, I began conceptualising and structuring the page layouts to clearly communicate value and guide users effectively.

Process: Wireframes and high-fidelity designs for the creators side of the website.
